Raising a teenager can feel like a rollercoaster...one moment things are calm, and the next you're walking on eggshells, unsure what might trigger the next outburst or shutdown. You may find yourself repeating the same instructions over and over, only to be met with eye rolls, silence, or slammed doors. Maybe you're exhausted from power struggles, feeling disconnected from your teen, or questioning whether you're doing anything right at all.

 

You're not alone—and you’re not failing.

 

I help parents navigate the challenges of adolescence with more clarity, connection, and confidence. My approach is grounded in attachment theory, developmental trauma, and polyvagal-informed practice. I will help you make sense of your teen’s behaviors through a nervous system lens, seeing them not as disrespectful or defiant, but often as overwhelmed, stressed, or dysregulated.

We’ll work together to:

  • Reduce conflict and power struggles

  • Strengthen communication and emotional connection

  • Support your teen’s emotional development and resilience

  • Stay calm and grounded, even in tough moments

  • Respond with clarity and care—without losing your cool

I also integrate practical, evidence-based tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you support your teen and yourself. Whether your teen is struggling with anxiety, mood swings, impulsivity, or just pulling away in ways that worry you, parent coaching can help you feel less reactive, more effective, and more deeply connected to your child.
